Hi,

You must give either a cost centre or a profit center or any other controlling object to that GL account while posting.

The account assignment to that GL account depends on the nature of GL account.

Hope this helps you...

Hello,

You need to give a real CO object such as

Cost Center

Internal Order

WBS element

You have created the GL account as cost element. Whenever you use cost element, you are required to give any one of these. If you give profit center, it will not work. Profit Center is a statistical object.

When you give more than one real object such as Cost Center and Internal Order (real), Cost center will be considered as statistical. Real postings will go to Internal Order and statiscal postings will go to Profit center assigned in Internal Order and Cost Center. Based on the other object given, cost center will flexibly change itself as real or statistical, based on situation.

If your account in questions is a cost element, you will have to assign a cost centre in your posting. It is not clear that what transaction you are doing. The error is happening because no cost centre information is provided in the posting.
