Assigning proper user authorization

Hello,

Is there any possibility to restrict the user (create a role) so that he/she will be able to assign

only chosen types of 'contractual user type' (field under SU01 - 'License data').

Lets say, this user could only assign '54' license type.

Hello,

thank you for the answer but the link you provided explains how to administer the licenses.

My requirement is to allow a specific user to use transaction SU01 to create new users, but

only with the special license type ('54' in this case).

So far I was unable to find what Authorization Object is used to control that (if any).

Hi Hubert Cieplak,

You can restrict this if you know the authorization object, to know the respective authorization object, while performing the activity run a user trace form the trace file you can find the related authorization. By restricting the activity to this object you can achieve.

Thank you for the reply but actually that was how I started - traced a user with ST01 transaction.

Unfortunately the log doesnt show anything useful...

I decided to create new custom object and new custom transaction - ZSU01.

That is the only way I can fulfil our client requirement.
