PIR not getting consume .

To PP Gurus

I am in process industry project .I am using 40 & 10 strategy for different product .But I am facing problem .I am running MRP for HALB-1 which will create planned orders then i will convert all planned order to process order .

Now when I am doing GRN Receipt of this process order stock will show in MD04 system will show this stock against LSF or VSF reqmnt ..I will consume this material for FERT-1 .After consuming this HALB-1 for FERT-1 if i refresh MD04 screen of HALB-1 system will show me LSF reqmnt as it is .So when I run MRP for my next reqmnt system create again planned order .for my orignal reqmnt of this month also .

My problem is PIR are not getting consume against dep reqmnt or order resevation or any other MRP element .Every month i have to delete previous reqmnt ..

I have checked with consumption mode MRP-3 view still not work .I also checked with In MD61 screen item tab 1 field consumption where i put consume any MRP element .still its not working .

Dear,

PIR - Planned Independent Requirements, They are generally used for MTS (Make To Stock ) scenario. It is nothing but Demand for a Particular material or Product group. MTS Strategies are for ex : 10 and 40 in case of 10 the PIR consumption will happen based on the goods issue against the delivery, In case of 40 the PIR consumption will happen on receipt of Sales Order.

Demand can be generated using SOP OR Directly creating PIR in Tcode : MD61.

MD74 - deletes only the PIR

MD75 - deletes only the history created against each PIR

Md76- mass deletion with history

Once transfer is complete go to MD62 and check for the transferred data.

Tcode : COOIS can be used for knowing the Planned orders for a material

My problem is I am not going to sale this halb directly either i am going to use it for further FERT-1 or it will going to consume by another halbi tself .So when I will consume this material for halb-2 or FFERT-1 then system shows lsf as it is even if i am using sretegy 10 .So i want to consume this PIR when i am using HALB-1 for further .So is it possible or i have to delete it

then use strategy 70 insteade of 40 or 10 for ur HaLB...

Dear,

In planning strategy 10, PIRs will not be consumed like in strategy 40.

They will be reduced. This happens when there is a Goods issue (PGI) to the Delivery

So you can reorganized the PIR by using MD74 will work for you.

I not able to understand why we need to create PIR for HALB1. HALB1 is used in HALB2 & FERT, so its dependent requirements would be transferred to HALB1 and MRP would create planned orders based on the requirements from FERT and HALB2.

I would suggest you not to maintain any PIR for HALB1.

Hi,

As Mr. Prashobh has also suggest, there is no need to maintain Planning Strategy for HALB.System creates the new Plan Orders because system saws the requirment at 2 level.

1 ) First one is in the form of PIR.

2) Second one is in the form of Dependent requirment.

And one more thing as per stategy 10 PIR will reduce at the time of PGI and in case of 40 PIR reduce as soon as sales order comes for the product.But this 2 things (PGI or Sales Order) are not applied for semifinished goods, that's why PIR remains as it is.

Hi Sanil

In OMP6 for requirement class 101 select option 3 for consumption indicator & then

In material master of the HALB, select option 1 for Mixed MRP (MRP 2), set consumption mode & consumption period also.

Hi ,

Use strategy 70

In MRP 3 view maintain mixed MRP indicator : 1

Create PIR with consumption indicator 3 and requirement class VSFB.

Hi dear,

In strategy 10 PIR will get consimed after goods issue against delevery and in 40 when sales order comes it will get reduced.

If u want to consum against Gr use 11 but it will not consider stock.

First tell me one thing ,

Is VSF requirement which we give in MD61 for the material having strategy 40 get deleted or reduced when we consume it for sales order ???

As I tried this scenario but even after using the strategy 10 or 40 , LSF or VSF is not getting deleted even after doing PGI or sales order .

When we use strategy 40 & run MRP , Planned Order get created , so when we make the goods receipt stock get increased , but when sales order is created for the same material , it doesn`t consume the PIR rather it creats new requirement.

& in this stage suppose we run MRP , system again creates Planned Order .

So please suggest is there any customisation required then only it may get materialised .
