System_Core_Dumped

Former Member

Good day Guru`s

My BWD system keeps on giving me system core dumps. When it starts to happen; it gives a lot of system dumps. It even gives a dump when you logon to the system sometimes.

What I have done:

- In the short dump they tell you to go to /usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS00/work/ and move a file called `core`. The file is not there so I could not move it.

- I have done a kernel upgrade as well, but it does not solve the problem.

o Here is the levels they are on: -R3trans_200-20001346.SAR

u2022 SAPEXE_185-20001346.SAR

u2022 SAPEXEDB_185-20001348.SAR

u2022 tp_198-20001346.sar

- The funny thing is: When I shutdown SAP and reboot the box. The system is working fine for a day or two and then it starts again with the u201CSyste_Core_Dumpedu201D.

Here is dump in st22:

Since the crash seems to occur in SAP coding I'd suggest to update to the latest kernel patchlevel and try again. If that fails, I'd open an OSS call.

Hi

We updated to the latest kernel patchlevel. The system is ok.

Thanks a lot.

Please provide the content of the "Activate calls in the SAP kernel" section of ST22.

And please: if you post logs, put code tags around them (mark the pasted text and press on the << >> sign next to the underline).

> My BWD system keeps on giving me system core dumps.

Please again:

Post the section of "Active calls in the SAP kernel" from such a dump.

The part you posted contains just the fact, that a signal from the OS was received. The actual place where this error happens is still unknown.
