To change the description of items in a billing document.

Hi Experts

The standard SAP functionality doesnu2019t allow us to change the description of any item in a billing document.

We have an requirement to change the description of items in a billing document.

As this is not a standard SAP process, I think it will need a user exit for it.

Can you please suggest a feasible way to resolve this.

Hi, Why dont you look in to VD51 - Customer material info record ,if it suits to ur requirement instead of user exit. in this you can maintain Customers own description.

Thanks for the suggestion, but we are intending to change the item desciption in a billing Document.

And in a change/Creation mode of a billing Document the system doesnt allow changing the item desciption.

You cannot change the description in billing document. Why dont you think of using sales text field where you can make any changes and the same can be fetched to your printing.
