hi all,

iam applying support packs to my BW server. while i was applying HR supportpack 16, due to power failure the support pack is stopped. when i retried it, it is struck at DDIC_IMPORT phase, it is not showing any error but it is running from past 26hrs.as it is in DDIC_IMPORT phase, iam not able to delete this support pack from the queue. ihv checked the slog where the text is:-

Bounce SAP application and database and restart the failed SP from spam. It should work.

what is "Bounce SAP application and database". could u plz tell me how to do this.

Restart R/3 application and database. If any tp process is still connected to database, will end.

Hi

due to power failure the support pack

Is this your test server or production server ?

Please try the follwing:

Tcode Se37,Use the function module OCS_RESET_QUEUE ->IV_TOOL=SPAM, IV_FORCE=X

Note:this is not recommanded by SAP

Please make sure that file name is correct. did you rename it manually?

yes the file name is correct. no i hv'nt changed it . i checked the trbat and trjob tables, they were also empty. but in processes only tp.exe is running, r3trans is not running. does it need to be in running ?

can we delete the entries from PAT03. there the status of the support pack is " ?"

plz help .

Technically it may work by deleting entries in pat01 and pat03 but it is better to raise customer message with SAP
