DBMRFC Error while using LC10

Hi ,

We changed the password for the users <SID>adm and SAPService<SID> and

changed the passwords for the relevant services. SAP is getting up and

we are able to logon to our SCM5 system. when we start LC10 we are

getting the following ERROR.

Name and Server : LCQ - sjcapodbqa

DBMRFC Function : DBM_CONNECT

Error : DBM Error

Return Code : -11

Error Message : tp error: sapparam: SAPSYSTEMNAME neithe

Please help us as we are not able to connect to live cacahe.

Hello Mohan,

1. Did you create the OSS message where this problem was reported?

"We changed the password for the users <SID>adm and SAPService<SID> and changed the passwords for the relevant services."

What are "the relevant services" you changed the passwords?

2. Please run the "Transport tool' check in /nstms & update with results.

3. Run as <SID>adm 'set' command to review the environment variables settings

for this user < <SID> - name of the system >.

4. What are the results of the commands:

tp connect <SID>

5. Update with a dbmcli call in the transaction SM49 with the tp options

dbmcli ::

-d LCQ -n sjcapodbqa -tpp no_longer_used -tpi <system-SID> -tpc LCA dbm_version

Hi,

we created a OSS Message to SAP still waiting for reply

I changed the passwords for services SAP<SID>_<inst_no> and SAPOSCOL.

Results of Transport Tool

RFC Link tp was started successfully

tp Version 372.04.29

DB Connect Link to database failed

Offline Call connect failed

Results of tp connect <sid>

C:\>tp connect apq

sapparam: sapargv( argc, argv) has not been called.

sapparam(1c): No Profile used.

sapparam: SAPSYSTEMNAME neither in Profile nor in Commandline

This is tp version 372.04.29 (release 700)

E-TPSETTINGS could not be opened.

EXIT

ERROR: System : Parameter SAPEVTPATH not set. Batch jobs cannot be started.

Error in TPSETTINGS: transdir not set.

tp returncode summary:

TOOLS: Highest return code of single steps was: 0

ERRORS: Highest tp internal error was: 0208

tp finished with return code: 208

meaning:

error in transportprofil (param missing, unknown,...)

Result of DBMCLI Call in SM49

The system cannot find the file specified.

Error! Connection failed to node sjcapodbqa for database LCQ:

tp error: can not open temporary file

External program terminated with exit code 2

Hello Mohan,

I saw the message with medium priority with the similar issue on the BC-DB-LVC queue. You could increase the priority of the message to high for the faster processing.
