Outputs in multiple languages

Hi,

The scenario is:

I have a layout set with language EN that has

Standard texts defined in SO10,

Text symbols created in SE75,

and Hardcoded text in English in page windows.

When the output is triggered by a sales order, an Email is created. At present the output is created in English only.

Now I want to add capability for German.

I have created standard texs and text symbols with same names for language DE.

What more do I need to do?

1. Do I need to create a new layout set with language set as DE, by copying the existing one?

2. If I use existing layout set in EN (and do not copy it to DE) ,will the script still pick up the German texts if my output from sales order has language as DE?

3. If I create the new layout set in DE by copying present layout set in EN, will the hardcoded English text in page windows be translated automaticaly? Or I have to put hardcoded texts in German in the new layout set?

Thanks in advance.
