t-code /sapapo/opt_inst cannot be found on TM7.0

We have a TM7.0 server with APO installed.

We cannot find t-code /sapapo/opt_inst.

For an SCM7.0, we can easily find /sapapo/opt_inst.

Could you help tell why?

Also, without the t-code, how do we test the optimizer install on the TM?

Hi Ashley,

can you clarify the statement 'We have a TM7.0 server with APO installed'.

SAP APO and SAP TM are two independent solutions that can't be run on the same server.

Hi Bjoern,

I think what you mean is that TM and the optimizer are different programs. That is why you can't setup the optimizer in the TM system. Hardware wise we have a server that runs both TM and the optimizer, but still they work as independant pieces of software.

For testing the connection between TM and the optimizer you can use transaction RCCF_CUST.

Let me explain my situation in details:

1) Yes, I have installed TM7.0 and APO on different servers.

2) I've created the RFC connecting TM7.0 and APO.

3) How to log into APO to run t-code /sapapo/opt_inst? So my issue is: how to get the

login info for the standalone APO so that I can log in.

For a regular SCM install it is NOT an issue. But in this case, I've only installed an APO,

NOT the complete SCM.
