IDM 7.1: Assign Privilege task not visible in Self services tab in IDM UI

Hi,

I have created a new folder in identity store and with an Unordered task, named it as Assign privilege

Folder status is active and 'Show folder in Workflow UI' is checked.

Task is enabled

Attribute tab is filled with MSKEYVALUES and MX_MXREF_MX_PRIVILEGE checked.

Access control tab, an entry is created as allowed for all authenticated users.

But, the task is NOT visible in Self Services tab in IDM UI

Is there anything i am missing?

Kindly check the identity stoer that you are logging in.

I have given the correct identity store under which i have created the task and the user is also created in the same identity store.

Self service and Monitoring tabs appear. But Self service tasks do NOT appear.

Hello

Check the access rights for the task.

Make sure in the part below it says "On behalf of: User or Identity Store entry"

This makes it appear on the Self-Service tab.

If you have anything else, it appears on the Management tab, which you can't see at the moment.

Hi,

Yes, OnBehalf Of is filled with 'User or Identity Store entry' only, but still the task link doesnot appear in UI.

Hi

The issue is resolved. The problem was because, i had been creating users without entry types.

Now, i learn that the users must be created with the entry type: MX_PERSON. Then, everything worked as expected.

Can you explain how the users can be created with entry type : MX_PERSON ?

I have logged into IDM UI with my user id and cannot see the self services tab. Please explain the exact steps.

Hi Sahad,

If you are not able to see 'Self services' tab, then it might be that you are seeing a wrong Identity store.

Check the identity store id in visual administrator, configuration adapter.

When creating the user in Identity center management console (Create user button), give MX_PERSON as entry type.

Hi Vijay,

In visual administrator, configuration adapter please give the exact location where we can find the Identity store specified.

Also In Identity center where you can find the management console and find the user creation button. If there is any documentation for this please share the link as well.
