Database Studio Problems

Hi Experts,

I installed NetWeaver Developer Workplace with MaxDB 7.6.03

After that I installed Database Studio. But the problem is, that when I start Database Studio, I get an empty eclipse screen with the default menu. But most of it is disabled. In the preferences I cannot use the "Database Studio" Menu. I get the following error:

Unable to create the selected preference page.

com/sap/sdb/tools/ui/preferences/EditorsPage(unsupported major.minor 49.0)

I have installed java 1.4.2.19 and 1.3.1.20

What is wrong?

Hello,

please use java version >= 1.5.

Before restarting Database Studio please delete the folder <user home>/sdb/DatabaseStudio.

Hi Wolfgang,

thanks a lot for your quick help. I tried your suggestion and it works great.

I thought I have to use a java version <=1.5 as for java application server.
