Required Field in sale Order

Dear all ,

i need a field to enter Text data in the Sale Order which is manadatory .

How to add the same to sales orders ?

1. IMG --> SD --> BF --> Text Control --> a. Define Text Types

Click "Text Types", Choose Sales Document Header or Item level and choose TExt types tab displayed above

Here you can create your own Text Types. or use the standard one by prefixing "Z" as Prefix and mainatain it.

2. IMG --> SD --> BF --> Text Control --> Define Access sequences for Determining texts

Click "Define Access sequences for Determining texts" , Choose Sales Document Header or Item level, Click New entries and maintain Text id with suitable description

3. IMG --> SD --> BF --> Text Control --> Define and Assign Text Determination Procedures

Click "Define and Assign Text Determination Procedures" , Choose Sales Document Header or Item level, Click Change Button

a. Click New Entries Create new procedure say ZS - sales order texts and save.

b. Text Id's in Text Procedure:

Choose the procedure "ZS" and Double click "Text ID's in Text procedure" , Click NEw enteries, Enter the acces sequence that you have created and choose in "Text Obligatory" Column = "Text is Obligatory".

c.Acces Sequence:

Choose the procedure "ZS" and Double click "Access Sequence", Choose Header note or Completion note and Docuble click "Access Sequence for Text id's" Here you maintain Text object VBBK - sales header texts" and id as 0001

d. Text Procedure Assignment:

Here you assign Text procedure to sales Document types

Note you should include your text in incompletion log. If your requirement is to keep it manadatory

Hello,

check for the avilable fields in the sales order. some of them like customer po number are free text and can be entered

this can be made madatory in incomepltion log

Hi

In OVA2 select the sales order header and then click on procedures and now select 11 sales order

and now click on fields now you will get the screen here maintain the calues for

VBKD-BSTKD and also the check box warning

GOTO VOTXN AND SELECT SALES ORDER HEADER AND THEN TEXT TYPES

DO THE TEXT DETERMINATION PROCEDURE

and assign this procedure to sales order and now in sales order goto header and texts here you can maintain the text and maintain the test is obligatory
