Planning cube compression job

Dear all,

I have run compression job on a Planning cube which is containing 85,00,000 records.But before running

compression it is giving a message saying that Lock not set for lock manager.It is running for some time

not compressing the records.All the Request ID's are remaining as it is without compression.Have you faced this kind of problem ...Please share your thoughts.

Hi

For any data load activity on the planning cube, you need to change the load behaviour of the cube. Go to RSA1 --right click ---> select ' change rela time load bahaviour' ---> and then select the radio button ' real time data target can be loaded now, Planning not allowed'.

After this, start your compression again.

Did you check if there are any locks already on the planning cube? check in Sm12. Also check if users are planning on this cube, in this case, you need to make the planning cube to basic cube and start the compression.

Hi Srinivas,

Thanks for prompt reply ....There are no locks in SM12 while compressing.Please let me know what to do you mean by converting toi to Basic cube and try again.
