Importing Vendor item XL lists into B1.. no simple import wizard?

Former Member

We have another company that will be supplying us with glass tiles that have several thousand of their vendor item id's and prices, that we need to import from their XL data lists.

Is there no SAP wizard that has you match the proper fields, like item name, item vendor ID number, item WS price, item Retail price, our discounted contractor price from their retail price, etc.. matching them up to the same field columns in SAP B1 for importing?

I found references in the SAP B1 To Go manual on p46 to a "Data Transfer Workbench" for importing XL lists but I can't find it in the program or how to use it to import item lists from our Vendors like I mentioned above.

You can import those Vendor item list to B1 by DTW. However, you have to find match in B1 table structure for related fields, not vice versa.

Thanks,

hi doane,

Choose Administration --> Data Import/Export --> Import Data --> Import from Excel.

Select below columns

A	Item No.
B	Item Description
C	Price List Code
D	Price According to Price List
E	Price List Price Currency

For further details refer B1 help file of Import Data.

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_sbo2005asp1/helpdata/en/1d/48a291fc4a0448bbc8dacd344e956c/frameset.htm

U can also use DTW to import prices.

Refer these links

Can a default price list be imported into the header of the 'Item Master Data'?

https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=71204997

For u requirement u can import prices as seperate price lists in different excel sheets.
