Dear all,
we tried to get a certificate from the austrian [www.a-cert.at] using the certificate toolkit from sbc 4.7. The simple answer was: Md5 is not longer secure, please provide a request based on a other hash-algorithm. I searched in the SBC Dok, in the service-marketplace etc. but it seems that also sbc 4.8 only supports MD5?
What to to? Buy a certificate from a company which supports MD5 or is there another solution possible (SHA, ..) ?
Regards,
Christian
I think other solutions like SHA should be possible. Check SAP Note 780049.

Hi Prateek,
Thank you for the fast reply- I read this note, I understood that these are SBC-services. What I need is a Certificate-Signing-request(CSR) (I think the right way is to do it with the SBC certificate toolkit) for the CA (Certificate Authority). And the certificate toolkit (there is a docu available) signs the CSR only with MD5. I think I need SHA signing or did you mean to use these services to sign it ? Might be a hard job.
Regards,
Christian
