Hi
I created alert category in 'ALERTCATDEF' and cerate rules in RWB in PI Dev. i didnt face any issues and alerts triggered fine for mapping and adapter exceptions. (Im working on PI7.1 SP06)
i transportred aletrs to QA and via transport request, and i see alerts are successfully transported to QA env. i face issue that alerts not triggered for mapping & adapter exceptions. however same alert configuration worked fine in Dev.
after tranport to QA I tested through report 'RSALERTTEST' and it created Alert Id successfully and i received alert email in outlook. But why it is not working in real time when there is a mapping failure in MONI email alert not triggered ?
could you pls help to understand the issue over here. What is the standard process of Alert transport in PI?
My assumption is we only transport Alertcategory objects created in ABAP stack (ALERTCATDEF) and dont need transport alert ruels created in RWB. is it correct ?
Regards,
Rajesh

You are right. We only transport the Alert Category. You need to create the alert rules in RWB. Please define alert rules in QA/Prod, if not defined.
