Unit Of Issue

Dear All,

I have maintained Basic Unit of Measure - Kg

Purchase Order Unit - Tne (Tonnes)

Unit of Issue - EA

The material is suppose to be subcontracted.In BOM I have maintained unit of measure as EA.

In sub contracting PO components in BOM showing correct unit of measure as mentioned in BOM.

But at the time of issue through 541 it is not taking BOM unit as EA,it is using basic unit of measure Kg

Which I do not want.

So is there any way out for getting issue unit as mentioned in BOM (PO) ?

Pls guide me.

Hi Jurgen,

But I have problem in mb1b Mov Type 541 (i.e. in UOM,P.Unit & Issue unit )

It is through MIGO.

I can confirm that my system does it qual to yours. It defaults the quantity in base unit of measure, not in unit of issue that is maintained in BOM and material master.

However, I guess this is just because of the design.

Explained if you press F1 help for field unit of entry: if you reference a PO, then the order unit will be defaulted.

Of course this will just have effect on receipts.

However as you reference a PO, SAP only applies this rule and does not determine a different rule for the components.

Or it is simply a bug that is not yet known by SAP.

Like using Z mov type & copy BOM from PO as it is.

Hi when there is a conversion factor , definitly it will cobvert.Please check the stocks provided to vendor or stock overview with uom as EA in initial screen.If the out put is with the desired result in EA ( available - issued) and let us kinow?

There is unit of measurement is KG.

Unit of Issue - EA

But still it is not copying data i.e. unit of issue EA from BOM.

Hi,

In my system it is taking the unit of issue (maintained in the material master) during movement type 541.

Please confirm once again whether you have maintained the unit of issue as EA for the plant & storage location in the general plant data /storage data 1.

If maintained definitely it will flow during any issue process.

Hi Krishna,

I checked with my settings in mm02 for plant/st loc data unit of issue is maintained as EA.

So u have maintained UOM as KG & Unit of issue as EA.

And in 541 mov type EA unit is copied from BOM which should have unit as EA.

Pls guide me for some where i have done mistake.

Hi,

Please let me know have you maintained the base unit of measurement in KG for the components and the final product?

Please maintain the conversion in material master for KG/TON/EA like 1 ea = 10 kg. 1ton = 1000kg like that to components as well the final product.Probably you can eliminate your error by doing so.
