Hi,
I have to align the amount in the report. My problem here is, when the report
displays negative values, the amount misaligned.
Can you help me on this one?

determine which number is negative
the handle this by text display
include single row for negative value
then create condition for eah no
If you can treat the data shown in the smartform as CHAR, write the number with sign moved to the left.
you've got:
345,00
456,70
345,90-
is it right?
Insteda why don't you format like this?
-345,90

i cant change the specification.
its not under my control.
Have you tried to shift all the fields content to right (or left)? Deleting leading ' ' or something like that you should align all fields in the same way.
all fields are aligned to the right.
the problem shows when i retrieved a negative amount
the negative sign occupies 1 CH from the right
as mentioned earlier.
do you have any suggestions?
is it a standard report or a custom one?
Are you using a ALV?

nope im using smartforms
when i have negative values in the amount
the numbers misaligned since negative sign occupies one char
i tried solving it using the smartstyle 1 Ch right margin
but it seems not to read the negative sign as a 1 char.
hence the problem still occupies.

If its Z Report take the help of abaper, if its standard report, Format the excel.
