Software Deployment Manager Password

We are trying to install JDBC drivers, and need to log into the SDM to deploy these files. We have never done this before and are getting errors when we try to log in. Is there a way to unlock or change this password? We are having problems determining the password because it does not ask you for a user ID. any suggestions would be great, Thanks

Jeff,

there was a SDM-password defined during installation. it's only a password for deploying with no user assigned.

after three tries to logon, the SDM server stops. check this before you try.

you can reset the sdm-password with this call:

\usr\sap\<SID>\JC<Sysnr>\SDM\program\sdm

changepassword "sdmhome=<path to sdm/program" "newpassword=mynewpassword"
