Automatic creation of Production order when PP/DS planned order is CIFed.

Hi PP Gurus,

The requirement is when PP/DS Planned order is created and CIFed to ECC R/3, Automatically system should create Production order for that planned order. In this case, is Trigger points will serve the purpose or need to adopt for some other way? I think since APO PP/DS is in sync with ECC R/3, something SAP might have given in this regard?

Dear Abu,

In SPRO PPDS global parameters and defaults, you can set "create transfer events from conversion indicator".

After this the planned order is transferred to R/3 only when a conversion indicator is set against planned order.The conversion indicator can be set through RRP3 or RRP4. You can put mass conversion indicator.

When such planned order is transferred, it will automatically create production order.

Hi Nitin,

Whatever settings you suggested in SPRO PPDS Global parameters, that we've already done but still planned order when CIFed to R/3 not getting converted to Production order.

So is there any settings required in ECC for that?

Hi Abu,

Have you checked whether the planned order has got CIFed to R/3? It may have stuck in the queue. resulting in you not able to see production order in APO.

I do not think there is any setting required in ECC for this.

Confirm if there were any errors while saving the planned order with conversion indicator. Some times conversion is refused due to availability check on components.

U can use BADI:/SAPAPO/CL_EX_CIF_OP, where u can write a small code to convert those orders as Prod Order while publishing.......

To my knowledge, in APO, once you set the conversion Indicator and save the transaction, it would CIF back to R/3, create a production order and then you can see the same in APO itself.

Hi,

It is possible to convert the Planned Order to Production Order in APO/PPDS and transfer the Production Order instead of Planned Order to R/3.

You can use the Trasnaction: /SAPAPO/RRP7 for this Purpose..

Please explore further in this direction...
