Quality Notification: Field "Problem" is not making Mandatory

Dear Experts,

For Quality Notification:

I have made mandatory for field "Problem" by influencing notificaiton type "EC - ECM CLASSIFICATION"

When I gone through the Transaction QM01, Under Subject Tab the field "Problem" is not taking Mandatory.

Please suggest.

Dear Don

I think you are refering to the field Coding QMGRP . I request you to kindly check the config for this field name to be mandatory.

SPRO>QM>Quality notifications>notification creation>notification types> Define screen template> Field selection general screens> click on influences> check in Settings with influencing field has your notification type EC has come against Coding and there X mark in Mand

Dear Gajesh,

X Mark is appearing against EC Notification type for Mandatory field.

Finally I have done this field as mandatory through Transaction Varient.

Now issue has solved.

We have developed new Notification type [EC-ECM Classification]

I will put the notification type "EC" and enter

After getting in to first screen under Subject tab "Problem" field [Field name QMGRP] is comming.

This is not happening mandatory. Even though we did mandatory by influening Notification type"EC"

The problem field will get mandatory only when if you have made an entry in the overview. input some entry in defect location ( field name OTEIL), or Text or number of defects then automaticaly Problem field will become mandatory .

Another suggestion will be make use of screen area 015 (Item with first cause). Here the problem field will be mandatory once you are into the notification screen
