what is the difference between planned delivery time that appears in MRP2 screen in mm02 and the one that appears in the PIR? If I maintain 2 different values in these 2 places, how will it affect the following
1. planning
2. delivery date.
Hi Ritika
The Planned Lead Time (PLT) is used to calculate the approx. delivery date when an order is being created.
The PLT in Material master is for a material/plant level whereas the PLT in PIR is at material/vendor/plant. So when there is a material being ordered then it will try to find if there is an info record with the vendor combination if not, then it will check the material master and update automatically in the order.
Thanks

Hi
Planned delivey time in Material master is used when the material is not assigned with any source of supply with Source list and Quota arrangement. If there is a sourcelist with fixed indicator then it takes PIR planned delivery time.
Planned delivery time is the number of required calender days (including holidays) for that material delivery after PO is sent.

Hi ,
Number of calendar days needed to obtain the material or service if it is procured externally
Material Master data will come first these data will be populating in PIR
Thanks & Regards,

hi,
When searching for the details while making the planning or delivery document, system always takes the more details data into consideration...ie. it should take MMR into consideration first and if value not present there then will take from PIR...
