Transportation Management Issue - To know the least shipment cost.

Hi,

My requirement is while creating (or before creating) the shipment document (VT01N) I want to see which transporter charges me less freight for the destination point. So that I can select the specific transporter for my despatch. Since the tansportation costs are very high in my business.

So I maintan the condition records for the combination of service agent / departure zone / destination zone / route.

But I want to have the option of selecting the best one. Is it possible in Transportation Management module or not ? If yes pl guide me.

Hi!

You need to create one or several cost information profiles using the path below:

Logistics Execution > Transportation > Shipment Costs > Define Profiles for Shipment Cost Information

That would allow you to estimate costs at order creation (VA01) on menu Extras > Shipment Cost Information.

There you can see different options (as you configure profiles), as estimated. Please note that could change according the real values you have on the transport (VT01N).
