Change the inspection stock of material 1AS12 in QM only

Hello friends,

I get the following error when i do goods recept in MIGO.

*"Change the inspection stock of material 1AS12 in QM only*

*Message no. QA495"*

Diagnosis

You want to make a stock posting to/from the inspection stock. This is not allowed for material 1AS12 because the quality inspection control has been activated by QM.

The following cases can occur:

The inspection stock should be increased, although an inspection is not foreseen for the current goods movement

The inspection stock should be released, although you can only do this using the QM transactions.

System Response

You cannot carry out the stock posting.

Procedure

Check both the QM inspection setup data and the movement type for material 1AS12 in the quality management view of the material master.

Exception:

If you post a return delivery to a vendor with reference to a purchase order, or cancel a goods receipt, the stock indicator from the order is proposed.

Check and modify this proposal as required.

The stock may have been transferred already and is therefore no longer in inspection stock.

Please help me to solve this issue.

Hi Kiran,

Inspection type is active in the Material master>Insp setup>QM view, due to which you're unable to do the material movements manually. Which is the movement type you're using ?

See if any inspection lot is created for that material in QA32 transaction. If so, then do usage decision and post the stock using QA32 or QA11.

This message occurs only if you have maintained QM settings and the qty available in inspection lot with a inspection lot no. to it.

If you are moving the material from Inspection stock to Unrestircted or to blocked stock then this message occurs.

Please use QA11 to clear the Quantities.

Hi ,

I have created new inspection type 100 which is copied from inspection type 01. I have made its assignment with inspection lot origin 01. In default settings of inspection type 100, I deacivated following indicators:

1. Inspection with task list

2.Automatic assignment

3.check chars.

(I deacivated because I want to do only UD and post stock to unrestricted)

In my system there was quality stock. So I have activated inspection type 100 by using QA08. Systm created inspection lot for all stock quantity.

Now when i do MIGO for P.O. System send the material to unrestricted use. If i manually do the change i.e. post to quality, It gives above error.

Hi

against 101 Mvt whaich inspection type you have assigned.

It must be 01 .

SPRO>Quality Management>Quality Inspection>Inspection Lot Creation>Inspection for Goods Movements.

Now you have created 100 copy of 01 ...so sytem try to find the inspection lot type 100 with origine.

What happens if you deactivate 100 inspection type.
