Hello,
when we change a assets useful life from 10 to 15 years after it has started depreciation.
what impact will it have?
is it ok to just change the useful life or do i need to take care of anything else?
Thanks
this needs to be posted in the fixed asset forum, not the Financials forum

Hi
check in transaction AW01n all amounts before and after the change. You should have a test system where this is possible to do first.
During depreciation run system will make adjustments. Also, this can be run in test run first (AFAB).
Hope this helps to get you the best grip to your question.

When the depreciation key is Straight Line and the asset is in the capitalization date then it is no problem, there will be een correction in the first depreciation run. When it is an old asset then you have to make a manual correction for the depreciation on the old fiscal years with write up
When you have activated EA-FIN you can use a new time interval for the new depreciation rule.
When you use a depreciation key with 10% a year and you change the use full live there will be no changes in depreciation ammount
