Hi,

To archive a material master, there should not be any source list, info record,BOM,Contract,PO,planned order, PR,Production order, stock, batch record. After moving the stock to new material, delete all the material from all the above. Then mark the material for deletion. Only then you will be able to archive.

Hi Krishna,

Thanks for your reply.

Is there any standard report existing to check all the dependent documents for a material ?

Thanks

Hi Ravi,

There is no special report to check the dependencies, but the write program itself can be used (also in test mode) to check the same.

Refer note 900537 to find out the meaning of error messages and to take appropriate action.

Thanks,

Naveen

the standard report to check for archivability is the test run for archiving of material masters itself.

Instead of old MM71 transaction, you should archive via SARA transaction, which is the archiving cockpit.

There you have a button called network, it gives you an overview what objects you need to archive first, before you can archive a material.

seeing your errors, you have to archive at least your purchase orders and contracts (MM_EKKO), your batches and special stocks (MM_SPSTOCK) and your info records (MM_EINA).

If you had stock in current and/or previous year, then you cant archive your material, as there must not be any stock in previous and current year.

Hi,

You need to remove the stock and also dependent orders and reservations.

Remove the unrestricted use stock(either by scrapping or transfer to diff material) and try
