Logon page not accessible!

Hi Experts!

We are having a small crisis here... Seems to us that the guest user has lost its permission to access the logon page, hence therefore nobody are able to logon to the portal. The log says:

#1.5 #001CC4E262E6006200000CE700001518000467BC0C543CBE#1239957265203#com.sap.portal.prt.runtime#sap.com/irj#com.sap.portal.prt.runtime#Guest#0##n/a##8ec947302b2a11de851e001cc4e262e6#SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_33##0#0#Error##Java###10:34_17/04/09_1014950 An error occured in iView: N/A in component: N/A##

Does this mean anything to anyone?

Could it be that we need to change the permissions for the guest user? But then how can we do that when no administrators can access the portal?

Any help is highly appreciated.

Regards Stina.

Hi Stina,

Check the SAP Note : 869690 and also try accessing the portal with this url

http://<YOUR_PORTAL_SERVER>:<PORT>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.pagebuilder.IviewModeProxy?iview_id=pcd 3Aportal_content/administrator/super_admin/super_admin_role/com.sap.portal.content_administration/com.sap.portal.content_admin_ws/com.sap.portal.portal_content&iview_mode=default

Once you are able to access the PCD, change the permissions and you would be good to go.

Good Luck!

Hi Sandeep,

Thank you for your suggestion, but the page however turned out blank.

I somehow managed to access the portal (don't ask me how now!) and changed the permissions so that we got it working again.

Now we are facing a similar (but different:)) problem in our development portal. We cannot access the portal, and we don't even get a portal runtime error.

I tried the url you sent me but it didn't work. Do you know of any other way to access the portal without logging in?

Thank you for helping!

Regards, Stina.

"The page cannot be found..."

I shouldn't replace anything other than hostname and portnumber, right?

Stina,

Yes, you got to replace hostname and portnumber.

1. First try putting in the URL and see if its asking for username and password.

2. Try logging in with a super admin password with the normal URL and as and when you get an error replace the URL with the one I sent in my previous post.

Good Luck!

Hi Sandeep,

You were absolutely right

The reasons the link didn't work with our development portal yesterday was because the portal itself was down... And due to some embarressing miscommunication this wasn't discovered until later...

Thank you for you help, understood how one are able to logon to a portal even when the standard logon-page is unaccessible

Many thanx

Points are assigned.

Regards, Stina.

Hi

Are you using certificates for logging?I think the issue is with your login modules.
