Costing Error:Overlapping values were maintained for characteristic Cost

Hi Guru's,

I am getting the error "Overlapping values were maintained for characteristic Cost Element " when i am going for cost planning in CJ40...

Please let why i am getting this error ..this is the first time i have received this error.

please let me know what to do?

Hi there,

looks like you posted to the wrong forum... CJ40 belongs to the controlling component (CO-OM-CCA-B).

Your question has nothing to do with costs in the meaning of "query costs" we know in Oracle.

Thanks team I have got the reason for the same.

Reason:

In project profile planning profile is there in which the cost element group is there.

In that group someone has created a sub group with the cost element range which is already assigned to some other sub-group.

that is the reason overlapping is happening.
