HI,

If a business manufactured two types of pipes & Fittings.one is CPVC ( 70 different types of pipes & 20 different types of fittings).Other is UPVC ( 60 different types of pipes & 20 different types of fittings).

So please give me the solution how Division,Material Group can & material master can be created.

you create two divisions

a. CPVC -->

70 Materials

20 Material Groups

b. UPVC -->

70 Materials

20 Material Groups

My suggestion is you will have to carry out Variant Configuration for Different Types of pipes

Hi,

As per your requriment you should have two divisions as following.

01.CPVC

02.UPVC.

Since you have 70 different types of pipes & 20 different types of fittings in CPVC and 60 different types of pipes & 20 different types of fittings in UPVC it is recomanded to have Product hierarchy V/76. with idetifiable/ understandable level vide say Level 1 - CPVC Level 2-Type of Pipe & Level 3--Type of fitting.

Try with Product hierarchy, hope this is in line with your requriement.

Hi

If the CPVC pipe is going to have 70 different type of pipes and each of this 70 different type of pipes is going to have 20 different types of fittings so the to tal no of products in CPVC is 1 x 70 x20 =1400

This is possible only by variant configuration

Or if the no of products is not this much then 2 divisions and twenty material groups are reqd

Material groups can be defined in t code OMSF

There will be 2 divisions CPVC and UPVC

There will be twenty material groups that is 20 different fittings

The 70 different type of pipes under this CPVC and 60 different type of pipes under this UPVC will be the individual products or materials

Finally the list will look like what our friend Mr.Sathya has suggested below

Its better to create 2 division which will be useful for reporting purposes

division 1 CPVC

division 2 UPVC
