Does anyone know the detail function about the "usage" in the "delivery item category determination",

Hi

The usage field performs the same control functions in delivery item category determination in t code 0184 as what it was doing during the sales order item category determination in t code VOV4

The role and activity of the usage field are the same but the application area and the performing area is different (that is one t code 0184 aand another t code VOV4)

Usage or Item Usage is an indicator that controls the system when you process sa sales document item. This indicator is used for determination of item categories, where you can use it to control which other item categories are to be found in certain environment. (Text items or packagoing items....)

This "usage" role will be more prominent in BOM and Free Goods

You can create a new Usage using tcode. OVVW

It is also used in Item category determination: VOV4
