Swaroop,

Have you configured the EWA already it is a pre req for SLR.

Steps.

Start the transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER.

Choose Solution Monitoring Service Level Reporting , in the Operations Set-Up area.

Choose SL - Setting Up Reporting.

You go to Change Mode: Set-Up SLR.

Perform the following checks in change mode:

Specify Service Level Report Type

Maintain General Settings

Determine and Maintain Systems and Contents for Service Level Report Types

Specify and Maintain Business Processes

Specify Business Processes Based on Business Process Monitoring

Process Service Level Report Data Manually

Dear Neni,

You can access all documentation in following links, you will find details information about the contents and features of each of the reports :

EarlyWatch Alert --> www.service.sap.com/EWA

Service Level Reporting --> www.service.sap.com/solutionmanager -> SolutionManager In Detail -> Service Level Reporting

For the setup of EarlyWatch Alert see the 'Best Practices' document at

http://service.sap.com/solutionmanagerbp .

The document's title is 'Activating the SAP EarlyWatch Alert on Solution Manager 7.0'.

The link directly to the document is http://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700001873212008E.

Unfortunately it is not possible to customize the EWA and set your own reference values, as this is an automated tool.

and also please note that those reference values are based on SAPs experience with thousands of installations, and are being reviewed nad udpated constantly.

For the Setup of SLR, please see the PPT presentation "Service Level Reporting - Introduction" in the above mentioned path, section "Media Library".

Finally, please let me suggest you a general URL where you will find all Learning Maps for SAP Solution Manager, incuding also the Setup of EWA and SLR: www.service.sap.com/rkt-solman

I hope this helps you further,

With kind regards,

Marta

Hello

The main diference between SLR an EWA is that EWA is based on standards, and is intended for

administrator to mantain their system healty

SLR is intended for reporting your system to your custommers, you define your own KPI's according to

your service level ageement.
