PO quantity can exceed over PR quantity

Dear Gurus,

I have activated error message where PO qty can not exceed PR quantity.

But we have to give some tolerance in percentage, so that PO qty can exceed PR qty proportionately.

Defining Lot size will not be helpful since there is no formula based on which we can predict additional qty.

Fixing tolerance at vendor level (or) Material level (or) info record any type of control is OK.

Kindly help in this regard.

Hi

With available settigns intact, how about having Purchasing value Keys for the materials based upon your tolerance requirements? You can have new keys defined as per your requirement and during GRN you can avail the additional quantity.

But with availabale settings you will not be able to change the PO quantity, If you change the settigns to warning the purpose of the message will be lost.

convert the message in to Warning so that it will permitt u to create PO and maintain the tolerance limit for the material in the Purchasing view of the material master.
