What do you mean for add a new layer ? PLD has no layer concept.

You could open any PLD that close to want you need. Edit it and save as a new PLD name.

You need not to run the PLD. If you want to see the PLD output, Print Preview is the output of PLD.

1) As Gordon said, first go to the document whose PLD was needed or duplicated.

For example, Goto Module----> Sales A/R -

> A/R Invoice to use or duplicate the A/R Invoice PLD

2) Then Click Print Designer Icon in Toolbar,

3) Select the PLD which you want to RUN, then Click 'Set as Default' -

---

>Ok -

---

> Cancel-----> Print Preview. That's all.....

If you want to duplicate an alraedy existing PLD, do the steps upto Selecting the PLD. Then

Select 'Duplicate' from the 'Data' Menu....
