Error during Installation of ECC 5 in ( non IDES ) in PC

Hi experts,

I am trying to intall ECC 5.0 in Windows server 2003 with oracle 9.2 as database.

i First installed central instance which successfully finished but while installing database instance from SAPinst.exe, I got the following eoor in the logs.

Please guide me to rectify the same

Hi

E:/SAP/DATA does not exist

Indicates its unable to read the data, cross check the permission for this and there are no space between the name of the exports files

Are you using the dump from some other system through the map network dirve?

JP is right ECC can be installed on Oracle 9 with Patches, but just make sure that Oracle 9 is now supported by SAP or not. For this problem i guess that you have some space on the name of installation files, so it is not able to read.

Hi,

ECC can be installed in Oracle 9 with the patches. I hope you are using network drive for the installation dump. You can't install the SAP using the installation dump from the network drive.

I would recommand you to go with installing oracle 10G rather than oracle9i btw did you apply patches for oracle 9i?

what is the parameter for NLS_LANG set in environement variable ?

Hi Uday,

What is NLS_LAND variable.

The enviorm,ent variable was only set for JAVA_HOME.

I also applied the patches for Oracle.
