DBACOCKPIT - Database Size History is missing

Hi,

We are on Basis SP16 for ECC6 (kernel 700) and SQL server 2005. DBACOCKPIT was configured across the landscape and now suddenly we realize that the data under Space-> History-> Database size history is not available. It only shows data for two weeks in Sep 2008. We want to view the data till date.

It is observed that the data till current date is available in DEV system but not in the QA or PRD. What's the clue?

How can we achieve this? We have made all settings as per Notes 1027512, 1057855, 1052909 and 1144935.

Kindly suggest asap.

Regards,

Sai R.

Hello,

I had the same problem and the point was that the login assigned, in the 'SAP_sid_SID_MSSQL_COLLECTOR' SQL job, was the incorrect one.

Have you made sure that all of the daily SAP_COLLECTOR and\or CCMS_COLL_DB background jobs are running successfully?

Did you upgrade anything (versions, releases or SP's) in Sept 2008?

Does the DDIC user have the same authorizations amd parameters set as he does in your Dev system?

Hello Sai,

just a couple of things that I would try:

1. Go to DBACOCKPIT -> Space -> History -> Table Size History -> Job configuration

Check if all the jobs are scheduled and running

2. If this doesnt help,Using se38 to run report MSSPROCS and execute all the stored procedures

that might help

If your systems were copied with homogeneous system copy, then you may have to reset the DB collector history as described in note 151603 (tables sap_perf*).

It's actually the DB collector data which is used here. The raw DB collector data can be viewed using Performance -> History -> Database Collector Data. For example in Time Series, Select Category "Database Size Statistics". You can check the DB collector job with Goto->Collector State.

BTW you can view a separate db size history in Performance -> History -> Performance History -> DB space.
