How to include multiple email recipients customer master data?

Former Member

We send out order conformations to our customer when they place an order, the email address comes from customer master - general data field SMTP_ADDR. Now customer needs to have the order confirmation go to multiple recipients therefore my question is - should I maintain multiple email addresses in that field or there is another way to solve this purpose.

Please suggest.

Thanks

Hello,

How about using email address which is actually for a distribtion list (vs for a single email address) for assignment at customer master?

Thanks for your suggestions guys but neither of the solutions worked. The system is picking up email id from field SMTP_ADDR and the email address which has standard number clicked is where the output is going.

Does anyone has other suggestions?

You may find that the system will allow you to maintain multiple email addresses for the same customer, but standard output or workflow limits the email to be sent to the one that is marked "default" - which is a mandatory field.

If this is the case, you may try the following:

A custom output program that reads the various email addresses and sends emails to them

or, you can maintain multiple contacts for the customer (contacts tab). Each of these contacts have their oen email addres fields

Yes, You can use the multiple email address , but not in the same field-

against to this filed you will find Icon with the "arrow" mark- CLICK ON it,

& Choose "+" Icon to add emai id's as requierd.

for each email id system assign ID no.

by this we can control, to how many or which email id's - order confirmation should be send.

hope it helps

Yes, you are using the right field - SMTP_ADDR.
