Hi all,
I work with PI 7.0.....
I am studying all scenarios about SAP PI, however I found a topic that I really don´t know.
MODULES !!
I read some articles about this subject but I didn´t find anything explanning with details about this.
Would you mind giving some suggestions, threads, about this scenario ?
When, Why and How do I have to use Modules in SAP PI ?
Thanks in Advance!!
Regards
Diego Crespo
Hi,
In any scenario, while creating the communication channel, there u can find a tab named "MODULES", in that u can see the default module(s). For example let us consider the FILE adapter, for which "CallSapAdapter" is the default module. So if u want to enhance the functionality of the norma FILE adapter, then u can go for customized module development, which can be done through NWDS.
We have to develop a EJB mdoule in order fulfill our requirement and then deploy the same to Adapter Frame work. There we can use our own developed module. The thing is, all the customized modules should be added in the MODULES tab before the default module for the adapter, in our case we have to add our module before CallSapAdapter module which is a default module for FILE adapter, which also known as the endpoint of the FILE Adapter communication.
For more details u can refer the following link:
