the answer is not quite as easy.
Yes, the core application is written in ABAP.
The Transportation Optimizer is C++.
Then the UI component called Netweaver Business Client sits on a JAVA stack to call up Web Dynpro screens.
Finally, for document printing purposes Adobe is one option.

the UI is based on Webdynpro ABAP and the backend logic is pure ABAP only. They use a framework called BOPF.
