NWDI Consolidation track Build Fail

We have a scenario where all dc's are building fine on DEV track but when moved to CONS it is failing in building main component. Any insight in terms why DEV is fine but not the CONS.

Hi Kumar,

Please verify standard SC's like JBUILD, JTECHS, J2EE component related activities are missing,. From the CBS please see any activities are left open related to the above mentioned components in DEV and which never got imported to CONS. If that is the case please import those activities from DEV to CONS. Please try again.

Please refer this thread for more this may not referring the exact cause but this thread had similar issue like failing build in consolidation:

Hi Kumar,

please cross check once these..

1)Either your CONS system is not in sync with DEV system.(check system info link in NWA for both DEV & CONS).

2)First import the dependencies and after that try to import the source files.

I tried to force build it by dummy check out but no luck. I am sure the CONS track is out of sync from DEV track but not sure how to bring the CONS system in sync with DEV. Please help.

I just now checked the DTR for CONS and DEV for active and inactive version and it seems perfectly same. I am getting confused as where could be the problem.

Well the build log cribs about the componentUsage and Navigationallink but why is it building fine on dev track. Here is the portion of log which has an error.

Try creating a new activity touching this Web Dynpro Component, to force an update of the metadata in the Consolidation track.

As I said before, It is building fine on the dev track. Why is it not building on cons track then? I tried to recreate another DC and copy the src folder and updated .dcdef for right usage of component. Again the same issues builds fine on NWDS build fine on Dev track but not in the Cons track. Any pointer?
