Reg:Client creation Problem

Hi Experts,

We have installed SAP CRM5,IDES version on windows with Oracle10g.

The installation went well and we have come across a problem while creating the client

I have logged into 000 with DDIC user and created a new client,when I try to login to the newly created client with SAP*,password PASS..it is saying "name or password is incorrect,pls.check"

Pls.help me resolve the issue

hi Venu

set the value of login/no_automatic_user_sapstar to 0 in the rz10 profiles and restart your SAP system

then you will be able to login

HI Subhash/Rohit,

I have tried the same and then only posted my queryy for your kind help.

Even after doing the so,it is not working.

I have changed the paramter,login/no_automatic_user_sapstar=0 and then restarted the server.

I have changed the parameter from the OS level in the instance profile,bu the problem is that...it is showing value <parameter>=0 in the OS level and <paramater> =1 in the application in RZ10

Pls.guide me thru

HI Venu

after you have changed the profile in the OS level.save it and then restart your system

then go to RZ10 and in the options above there Import profiles-> of active server

Then check this parameter,it would be 0

the important part is at OS level. this is where SAP reads parameters.

so, change this at OS level and restart your instance. it will surely work.

May be this would be the problem btw which profile you are trying to change this

Parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar should be set to 0 to login woth SAP* & pass in newly created client.
