Dear all,

My client wants to change the shift timings as when there is a change in production plan due to variation in requirement.

Is it advisable to do the same ? Why

Go to Work Center --> Capacity --> Header --> Interval and Shift , and assign the new sequences. Or Change the grouping in the header Capacity

However, your client should be aware that they must be following these changes very carefully as some impacts in scheduling and capacities are expected.

This is tipical in our downturn economy many companies are changing from 4 to 3 shifts. If the utilisation time is used also for costing, CO people should be updating activities ( capacities and prices) to get an updated cost estimate and order costs.

Dear,

Shift Timing Change mean what? Your cilent increase the working Hrs means previously working hrs was 8 now 10 then you need to change the shift schedule in OPA4.

If not if timing change means 7 to 13 now it is 6 to 12 then no need to change the shift sequence as working hrs are same.

Hope clear to you.

Dear ,

my client want time to be changed from 8hrs to 6 hrs, because of less schedule. Some times it can increase based on the requirement. We are suppliers to OEM makers as per their demand we have to run our plant.

Dear Mohan,

please refer the thread-->

pl try validity date option in work center as mentioned in the thread.

You can create as many grouping with different sets of timings & change the validitiy time whenever you require.
