Tools send along with raw material to subcontrator

Hi,

We are sending some raw materials to subcontractor and get semifinished product from them.

Along with raw materials we are also sending tools to the subcontractor, which are received as it is from subcontractor.

But when we mapped the processs in SAP, we are facing the problem that, when we make GR for semifished material, tools are also getting consumed along with raw material.

We do not want the tools to be get consumed, How this can be achieved?

hi,

Recursive means, the material which will come back w/o any changes...

Now this can be done using the recursive indicator in the item details...and make it recursive...

Also,

You can make the whole material also recursive by using the its components same...

But in your case you make the only one component recursive..

Check it as CS01/02/03...ie. at BOM maintainence place...

Hi

Recursive- A component has the same material number as a higher-level product this is how the definition goes. Are you maintaining BOM for the ordered material, if yes you can find the Recursive chk box in the general data. you can activate for the materials you are sending as tools to the subcontractor.

Hi Rajan,

Goto CS02, select the material (Tools) and click on the item( F7 ) button. Here in General data, u can activate the recursive.allowed checkbox.

Do you mean to say that, i have to maintain the recurssive material (returnable material) as BOM itme?
