Dear all,
In any civil project , there is a site office and control over it is performed by head office. In this case , how plant can be defined?
Regards,
Dear Rohit,
If you are working on civil projects, in that may have Residential, Commercial, Educational, Health Facilities projects. Suppose this is executing on 400 acres land which may be divided into various sectors, so you can create that is as one plant & Suppose same company having another 300 acres land at some other location so you can create second plant.
Normally plant will be created by MM Consultant.
Go through SAP Plant definition which will clear your thoughts on Plant.
Definition: plant
Logistics - General (LO)
In Logistics a plant is an organizational unit for dividing an enterprise according to production, procurement, maintenance, and materials planning.
A place where materials are produced, or goods and services are provided.
Hope it's useful.

in PS you should look at plant as the place where the work centre belongs and the place where the material movements are to be recoded
so if you take material and enter material via your site office and you have work centre that is specfic to site office (which I believe should be), then you should set up site office and head office as 2 seperate plants.
