Hi,

We are planning for system refresh activity. So I am planning to copy Quality server data into Production server. I want retain Quality server users like that only. Is there any way I can export user master records and import it later?

Please advice us.

Our environment is 4.6 C, Oracle 10g, windows 2003 server.

Regards

Satya

Hello Satya

I guess you are planning to copy or refresh the Quality server with your production data.

So in that case you want to retain current user master of QAS

this can be done via SCC8 and SCC7

Loigin into QAS

Run SCC8

Select profile SAP_USER

Target system QAS

Target Client 310 (for eg.)(the client of which you want to retain user master record)

Select Background Server

Select IMMIDIATLY

Select SCHEDULE JOB

it will give you three transport numbers

when QAS is refreshed :

Login into QAS

STMS

import queue of QAS

Add that transport request which was generated before refresh activity

import it

then perform post processing using SCC7

thanks

You can create one more client in difeerent system e.g DEV system.

Then perform remote client copy with profile SAP_USER to newly created client in DEV system. Once you done with refresh of QAS, perform copy again from newly created client in DEV to QAS with profile SAP_USER.

Hello Budev,

I am also having same requirement, I have one question here , Is that fine If I run the import the request and do the postprocessing after my BDLS gets over ..? Or It can be done before running BDLS ?

Hi Rajesh,

BDLS and User master import are independent to each other unless you create new client.
