Sales order not in table S765

Hi,

Can you please advice on the below issue.

Some sales order are not stored in the table S765.But when I go to table VBAP the field 'STAFO' (Update group for statistics update) is blank for those sales orders.What is this field.

Also in the same sales order some materials have a value of 1 in STAFO field.

What could be the cause for this.

Hi Venkat,

In info structure update the field "Statistical update grp" plays very important role and is the key which will decide whether the document is updated perticular info structure or not.

statistical update grp is maintained at customer master , material master , sales doc type and item category level.

Please follow the following path in IMG

Logistic General >> Logistci info system (LIS) >> Logistic data warehouse >> Updating >> Updating Control >> settings : sales

Here you will see above mentioned statistical update group maintained and assigned to respective objects.

Through this key system understands which Info structure needs to be updated for the transaction.

Now Please check MC23 and give your info structure S765 then go to menu ENVIRONMENT >> Update defination >> double click the info structure number >> on this screen you will see the key "Update group ( stats)"

Now compare the field values in customer master , material master , sales doc type , and item category with the one maitained in info structure.

As in your case for the materials this field is empty system will not update the info structure cause statstical update grp is not maintained in material master.

for some material you said it is maintained as 1 but still it is not updating reasons can be

1) your infostructure has different statistical update grp maintained

2) for the sold to party in customer master same statistical update grp is not maintained as of info structure, so for this customer sales order will not be updated in info structure.

Please check above settings and still in doubt revert back

When I changed the material stats group it is still not updating s765 table.What could be the cause?

Dear Venkat,

Please let me knw if you have checked wht is the statistical grp maintained for the Info Strucutre.

also check in MC23 wht is the source field in infostrucutre and compare it with the sales order field you are using.

Thanks a million for your help.Material statistics group is not maintained in material master.This caused the issue.

Hello Venkat,

The field is used to update the LIS. these indicators are at customer master level and material master level.

for the case you have mentioned, the field is balnk for those materials for whom in material master- sales plant view the indicator for statistical update is not mnatined, for those where it is appearing it is maintained

also check at sold to party level in customer master - sales area view if the indicator is set

normally 1 is used to mean update statistics and 0 - do not update
