Is the CI and DI in the same host?

Usually this error happens when a connection to a remote SQL db timeout and the connection drops...

Theres quite a few notes in MS technet about it... most of then refering to a network issue.

This must be a one off thing maybe a blink on your network... have you tried to resume the patching?....

Yes.. i resume it.. It's at the same phase.. Not yet pop-up any errors...But i don't see any progress as well..no new logs are written at OS level. No DIA is running in SM50... if i see at action log of queue

Import phase 'AUTO_MOD_SPDD' (16.04.2009, 09:09:22)

Import phase 'AUTO_MOD_SPDD' was already processed -> skip phase

Import phase 'RUN_SPDD_?' (16.04.2009, 09:09:22)

Import phase 'RUN_SPDD_?' was already processed -> skip phase

Import phase 'DDIC_ACTIVATION' (16.04.2009, 09:09:22)

Import phase 'DDIC_ACTIVATION' was already processed -> skip phase

Import phase 'IMPORT_PROPER' (16.04.2009, 09:09:22)

yesterday full night it was running.. now i stopped and restarted agian.. it's running from the last 1 and half hours now..

What i have seen in my experiences on Distrributed Environments, If you have extraced the file into the EPS/in directory of CI then You should start the SPAM from CI only, otherwise it gives some error because it is not able to read the queue if you start the SPAM from your DI

Hello Jose,

We had similar issues, and has been solved by a tp upgrade. You could try that, if not yet

Hi Jose,

This is likely to be a connectivty or a configuration issue. Are you applying the packages across a mounted file system (check on possible timing issues)? That might be one place to look.

Hope that is helpful.

Hello Joe,

The trans directory is local for this system. It's like this
<local host>\sapmnt\trans ...

Does it have an impact ??

FYI: i have windown + SQL ( Distributed installation )
