Hi there,
I would like to increase the minimum password length of our company's SAP-system (following one of the recommandations of a security audit).
The minimum is now set to three, I would like to increase it to six changing the parameter login/min_password_lng in the instance or default profile.
When I change the parameter and I restart the instance, what happens to the users currently using a password smaller than 6 characters ?
Any help would be appreciated.
Kind regards,
Erik
The parameter will not take effect until their current password expires, when they need to enter the new password the minimun lengh will be required.
Regards
Juan

It will work fine for them and whenever they change their password then they will be asked for a password of minimum 6 characters
as the parameter is valid for new password only, this is what I supose
