Organization Structure and Plan

Good Evening.

Can anyone please help me in configuring the organizational structure and plan , Where it is done like, in personnel administration or in organizational management? Please reply me.. Waiting for your comments..!

Hi Smitha,

There are 3 ways to maintain OM data.

SAP standard menu-> Human Resources-> Organizational Management-> Organizational plan-> Organization and Staffing->

Or

PPOCE-> Create root organizational object

PPOME-> Change

PPOSE-> Display

Or

Expert Mode:

SAP standard menu-> Human Resources-> Organizational Management-> Expert mode-> PO10, PO03, PO13, PO01, and PP01

firstly it will come in OM

go for Simple maintainence and create the objects

later go with PA

and afer the completion of the structure check with integration with OM and PA

and upload the data thru LSMW or BDC

You can create Org plan using PPSC transaction code you can also use ppom_old

Org plan is created as part of organization management

better to go ahead with tcode PPOM_OLD for creating org structure.

Firstly u need to created Enterprise structure.

Create Personnel Areas, Sub areas, Employee grp and Sub group.

Then u can create plan version under node Personnel Management:

Global Settings in Personnel Management->Plan Version Maintenance->Maintain Plan Versions

Organizational Management->Basic Settings->Maintain Number Ranges->Maintain Number Ranges

Use Expert mode to create Org units -PO10

Positions - PO13

in most of the implementations will opt for both PA and OM modules and so integration exists between these two modules.

So you need to create your org structure in OM.

Normally LSMW would be the preffered method of creating when there is huge amount of data.

Else you can do the same manually either in simple mode or exper mode or through Actions.

Hi,

Go PPOM_OLD, there you need to cerate the Organizational sctrucrue.

There you have to maintain the plan version.
