Dear all,
when i am running the solman_setup wizard,i am getting a error in the first step as
Support Package for SAP_BASIS is missing, and it gives a message
"Please import the actual support package for SAP_BASIS or activate the service "System" manually.
what does this activate SYSTEM manually means?
Please help to close this issue.
My current SAP_BASIS level is 701 and level 2 on solman.
Regards,
Avinash.

you might want to check this great video https://websmp209.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000048292009F/
the error you are having is described in #1309047
2. "Support Package for SAP_BASIS is missing in Managed System &1"
(AI_S_SOLMAN_SETUP 010)
The managed system does not have a function module for activating an SICF service. This module is first delivered with SAP_BASIS 701 Support Package 1. This function module is not available in all lower releases.
For error 2:
You have the following options to correct the error:
Furthermore, you should manually supplement the following texts for Support Package 18:
Number 20: &1-Destination &2 with User &3 created
Number 21: &1-Destination &2 with User &3 created with Warnings
Number 22: &1-Destination &2 with User &3 created with Errors
Number 23: Establish connection to System &1(&2) - &3_&4
1. Import SAP_BASIS >= 701 Support Package 1 into the managed systems.
2. If SAP_BASIS is not of a higher release than 700, the services must be manually activated and this results in a warning in the log.
3. Manually activate the service /default_host/sap/bc/bsp/sap/system in transaction SICF in the managed system. The error message mentioned above is still displayed, since, due to the missing function module, the service activity cannot be checked on the managed system.

Hi Nesimi,
Thank for your reply to his question.
I'm struggling with the same issue. Note 1309047 is confusing to me. Can you help me with these two sections?
Import SAP_BASIS >= 701 Support Package 1 into the managed systems.
Does this mean import ehp1 into the managed systems?
Furthermore, you should manually supplement the following texts for Support
Package 18:
Number 20: &1-Destination &2 with User &3 created
Number 21: &1-Destination &2 with User &3 created with Warnings
Number 22: &1-Destination &2 with User &3 created with Errors
Number 23: Establish connection to System &1(&2) - &3_&4
What does this mean?
Any help at all would be appreciated!
