Hello Guys,

I have been doing SAP Security for around 5 years now and thinking of changing my career towards PLM. I don't know much about it. It just sounded intriguing to me and want to learn more about it. Do you guys think its a good fit? Sorry, if the question sounds stupid..

Hi naveen,

To work on PLM functional you need to learn/know about PDM which is first part of PLM i.e. Product Data Managment which covers DMS (Document Management System), ECM (Engineering change manegement) i.e. ECR/ECO, Classification System, Order Change Managment, BOM (Bill Of Materials), Product Structure Browser.

Then comes the PLM packages like Cprojects, CFolders, xRPM etc.

and CAD Integration.

depending on the Scenarios or requirement these comes into picture.

you get the detailed PDF files in below link.

Hi

Nothing is stupid. Its a matter of finding out if thats really what you want. To start up with go through some of the PLM presentation of SAP. This will give you an idea of where you want to be in the area of PLM then you can specialize.

Cheers

Hi ..

How to integrate XI and E-Matrix?

What is the adapter to be used? Do we need to create adapter modules for this case? Is any third party adapter involved?

The problems that can happen during the integration (both from XI and E-Matrix).

Thanks
